INFORMATION IMPACT International is a licensee of the TRUSTe Privacy
Program. The privacy statement discloses the privacy practices for www.infoimpact.com.
If you have questions or concerns regarding this statement, you should
first contact Diane English by email (Diane@infoimpact.com)
or phone (+1-615-837-1211). If you do not receive acknowledgment of
your inquiry or your inquiry has not been satisfactorily addresses,
you should then contact TRUSTe http://watchdog.truste.com/pvr.php?page=complaint&url=.
TRUSTe
will then serve as a liaison with the Web site to resolve your concerns.
Information
Impact International and www.infoimpact.com subscribe to the
following privacy policy:
- Confidentiality
and privacy:
- Information
use. We pledge to you that we will honor your privacy
and will not use any information you provide against your wishes.
We use customer contact information from the registration form
to send you information about our company, newsletters, seminar
brochures and information management and information quality ideas,
etc. You may opt-out of receiving future mailings [see 'opt-out'
option]. We use data such as job title, function, industry type
for aggregation to better understand our customers base. We will
send you or notify you of Information Impact Newsletters, and
will only send you announcements about new content updates to
our web site, about information management and information quality
education events that we sponsor or cosponsor or for required
communications such as change of address. Should you receive anything
from us you do not consider value adding and wish us to no longer
notify you, simply return reply and request us not to contact
you. [see 'opt-out' option].
- Information
collected. Our site's registration form requires you
to give us contact information (such as name, address, email address)
and unique identifiers (member ID).
- Customers
typically buy products (books, seminar places, etc.) with credit
cards. Their credit card information is collected on a secure
server and is kept under the strictest confidence.
- Business
partners and information use. We will not sell, lease
or give information you have provided us to other parties. Information
Impact has relationships with other organizations, such as having
a contractual business partnership with an organization, such
as being a co-sponsor of an educational event or with the IAIDQ
where Larry English is the Co-Founder. From time to time we may
provide only the data required to provide a mailing such as name
and address (no other data, such as job title, industry code,
etc. will be provided) to such partners only for the following
purposes and with the following conditions:
- For communicating
a jointly sponsored education event or educational announcement,
and
- Within
a confidentiality or privacy agreement with that business
partner or to a bonded mail house under a single use agreement
for the purposes stated above. We will not authorize our partners
or any other organization to send you unsolicited information.
- Opt Out.
If at any time you do not want to be contacted by these partners
or by Information Impact, you may email us at Diane@infoimpact.com
and let us know that you do not want to receive these types of
electronic mailings, snail mailings or both. We will promptly
remove you from these mailing lists.
- Web hosting
service. Our web hosting service has access to our database
as the information is stored on their premises. They have signed
a nondisclosure agreement with Information Impact stating they
will not use or sell your information for any purposes and will
abide by all terms of this privacy policy.
- IP address
and member ID use. Your IP address and your member ID
are used to help identify you. We log your IP address for system
administration purposes. IP addresses are logged to track customer
sessions. This gives us information about which parts of our site
are most visited, how long members stay in a particular area of
the site, etc. We do not link IP addresses to anything personally
identifiable, so that, even though a customer session is being
tracked, you will remain anonymous.
- Cookies. We
use cookies for the sole purpose of automatically filling in your
contact details in subsequent forms, preventing the need for you
to have to reenter the data. No personally identifiable information
is collected, used, saved or shared from cookies on our web site.
- Changes
to our privacy policy. If there is a need to update our privacy
policy, we will notify you by way of a note on our home page so
you may read the privacy policy and determine if the changes meet
your needs as a valued customer of our web site.
- Notification
of Changes. If, at some point in the future, there is a change
to our information usage practices that affects your Personally
Identifiable Information, we will notify you by email of the relevant
changes. At the time of this message, you will be able to opt-out
of this information usage by sending a message to Diane@infoimpact.com.
You should also check this posted privacy statement for changes.
- Security:
- The security
of your personal information is important to us. We certify that
when you enter ANY information (credit card information, name
and address, etc.) on our Newsletter, Seminar, or Conference Registration
Forms or Order Forms, we encrypt that information using secure
socket layer technology (SSL) so that unauthorized persons may
not intercept, read or access it. For details about SSL click

- No method
of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage,
is 100 percent secure, however. While we strive to use commercially
acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot
guarantee its absolute security. If you have any questions about

- Information
Quality:
- We certify
to you that the information contained here is correct, honest
and current as of the date of update. Any information we have
not been able to verify or audit, has been identified with a descriptive
notation.
- The www.infoimpact.com
site links to other selected web sites that contain pertinent
information about information management and information quality.
We cannot certify the accuracy or currency of the information,
nor can we be responsible for the privacy practices of those web
sites. We do review the web sites for relevance and "general"
quality of the information provided. We may place a disclaimer
on sites that do not meet a minimum level of integrity. If you
find a significant level of nonquality on any site we link to,
please notify us at infomgr@infoimpact.com,
so that we may investigate and put out a disclaimer or remove
the link.
- If you visit
any co-branded pages from our web site and execute any kind of
financial transaction or submit additional information to that
site, that partner will be the collector of that information.
Any information given to this partner about you is not shared
with us except in the aggregate.
- Surveys:
- Our site
requests information via surveys. Participation in these surveys
is completely voluntary and you have a choice whether or not to
disclose this information. Information requested may include contact
information (such as name and address), and demographic information
(such as zip code). Survey information will be used for purposes
of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.
- Public Forums:
- This site makes
forums, book reviews, testimonials and message boards available to its High IQ Team members. Please
remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes
public information and you should exercise caution when deciding

to opt out after you have registered, you may remove your record
yourself by clicking the "remove your profile" link in the IQ
Resources section and your information will be removed from our
